A wide assortment of printed materials
are sold on eBay, from books, comics, newspapers and magazines
to sheet music, postcards, greeting cards, menus, calendars,
brochures, even playing cards and
matchbooks!
The Auction Expert accepts paper items that meet
the following criteria:
- The item must have an estimated eBay value of at least
$50. Multiple tems may be combined to increase the value.
- The item must not be restricted
by eBay.
Factors that can affect the
value of your item include:
- the age and nature of the item (e.g., is the book a
first edition? Has it been signed by the author?)
- its content (e.g., is it a newspaper from a significant
date in history, or a rare piece of sheet music?)
- whether the item has been stored properly
Paper
that has yellowed with age and is tattered at the corners may
still be considered valuable. And early issues of popular
magazines like Playboy and Rolling Stone are often
sought-after by collectors.
